Peru is impressionable beautiful, and we recommend visit these places. Lima is home to Peru’s best and most famous museums. Travel up the Tambopata River for an our and half to National Park. You will see a magical sunrise and it is a great opportunity to see animals such as capybaras, tapir, Jaguar, and deer in the surrounding virgin forest. Visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco and famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them standing over 9m / 30ft high and weighing over 350 tons. And finally, the excursion on the Lake Titicacaca waters towards the unique Floating Islands of the Uros, ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe. All you trip will be memorable.

After breakfast, you will be picked-up for a group visit of colonial and modern Lima, starting in the center of this vibrant, metropolis. The tour will include a visit of the cathedral, dating from 1654 which also has the tomb of the Spanish Conquistador Francisco Pizarro. The Main Square, with the original bronze fountain built in 1650, the Government Palace, where the President has his official residence and the San Francisco Convent, with its famous catacombs. Lima, known as the City of the Kings, was founded in 1535 by Pizarro and after several devastating earthquakes was rebuilt in 1991; the same year that UNESCO declared Lima a world heritage site. In the afternoon, you will enjoy an afternoon sightseeing around Miraflores. Overnight in Lima.

In Lima you take your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Guests are received at the airport and taken to the office, where you will be able to repack and leave in storage anything that you will not be needing on this part of your trip. We then continue on to the port in the native community of Infierno, from which we will embark on an hour and a half boat ride to Explorer’s Inn Tambopata Ecolodge. During this journey guests will receive a boxed lunch and there will be an obligatory stop the La Torre control point to register our entrance into the Tambopata National Reserve.
Upon arrival guests will be greeted by the lodge manager, who will give useful recommendations and information to ensure an enjoyable stay. After a rest, our naturalist guide will give an informative presentation about the distinct species of caiman that can be observed in the Tambopata National Reserve, in order to allow guests to learn more about this endangered species. Dinner. We again board our boat to start the nighttime search of caimans in the Tambopata River. Our naturalist guide uses a spotlight in order to locate them on the banks of the river, so that we can observe them from a respectable distance.

We wake early to visit the parrot claylick, which is a 10 minutes boat ride from the lodge. A claylick is an exposed area of clay with higher concentrations of salts and other important minerals, where parrot species converge to eat. In our case this is a small wall close to the river, allowing observation of various species of parrots and parakeets which you can see eating the clay. We will then return to the lodge walking one of our trails, where if we are lucky, we may see other animals in their natural habitat. Lunch. We visit our 42 meters high tower in order to enjoy the spectacular views of the sunset and surroundings. We have the chance to see a variety of fauna species, including types of macaws, parrots, toucans and monkeys. Dinner. Your naturalist guide will take you on a night walk to see the jungle from another perspective. This is the time to see unique insects, amphibians, owls and perhaps other species if you are lucky

flight to Cusco. It is a one-hour flight to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital of the Incas. In Cuzco, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted with your luggage before your short private drive to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will start the city tour in Cuzco. You can visit to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cuzco city, Qenko, Tambomachay and Puka Pukara. We’ll visit the Inca ruins site of Sacsayhuaman under the view of the last light as it plays on the ancient Inca stones. Then you will return to your hotel.

After breakfast, a full-DAY excursion to Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas and to the ancient Inca market town of Pisac, founded during colonial times, which sits at the foot of a hill crowned by the remains of an ancient Inca city. On SunDAYs, TuesDAYs and ThursDAYs, natives barter their products in the main square and artisans from around the area sell their woven alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, unique items, jewelry and so much more. On SunDAYs, it is also the meeting place for Mayors from all the villages in the region, dressed in their traditional costumes to attend morning mass. Lunch in Urubamba. A visit will be made to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that was not defeated by the Spanish and a chance to explore the ruins before returning to Cuzco. Then, after a full DAY of excitement you will return to your hotel to relax.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, 2 hours before the departure and take you to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo. We use a friendly backpacker service. We will begin the journey from Ollantaytambo to the town of Aguas Calientes. The views out your train windows will be absolutely spectacular as we travel beside the roaring Urubamba River and the towering mountains surrounding it. In Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting for us and will accompany us to the bus station where we will board the bus to take us to the amazing citadel of Machu Picchu. There we will have our 2-hour guided tour, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, cemeteries, the Intihuatana sundial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Sun and the Temple of the Three Windows. Then we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes by bus, where you can have lunch at one of the various restaurants in Aguas Calientes or at Sanctuary Lodge. At 6:30 PM, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo. This trip takes about two hours. At 8:30 PM, we will board a private bus which will take us back to Cusco. We arrive in Cusco at approximately 10:30 PM. Overnight.

After breakfast, transfer to the bus station to Puno. You can take the touristic bus station. In the way we visit different places as Andahuaylilla, Raqchi, Sicuani, la Raya, Pucara. We arrive at 08:00 pm approximately to Puno. Then transfer to the Hotel. Overnight.

At 06:30 am approximately, Pick-up from your hotel in downtown Puno. Time to embark on the boat to go to Taquile. Then we stop by the Uros islands. It is believed that the Uros were one of the first ethnic groups populating the Andean region. Only in the early 60, the Uros started to build artificial islands with reeds for their homes. Upon the arrival on the island, the group will follow a path for about 1 hour and arrive to the main village. On the way the tour guide will explain about traditions and live on the island. Once in the main village we will be given free time to explore the local handicraft market. At 13:00 approximately Lunch in local restaurant. Quinoa soup, fresh fish caught in the lake and vegetables are a typical lunchtime meal in Taquile (not included). After lunch the group starts the walk back to the main dock in Taquile. The boat departs in direction Puno. Then transfer to the Hotel.

Early in the morning we prepared to leave of Puno. In the way we can visit the ceremonial center of Sillustani lies 34 km from the city of Puno, approximately 40 minutes from downtown Puno. The tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours. This visit will allow us to see the magnificent architecture and engineering of the period as seen in the lizard chullpa, which has a phallic, inverted conical shape about 12m high with huge stone blocks that seem to defy gravity (pre-Inca) and Inca (necropolis). This is the only such site in Peru. Enjoy the positive energy of this magnificent, sacred place, which is nestled in stunning nature and beautiful landscapes surrounded by the mystical Lagoon and Island of Umayo and by wildlife (vicuñas, alpacas and vizcachas). Transfer to the airport to Julica. Return to Lima.
