Huaraz Mystical (05 Days/04 Nights)

Huaraz is a place that calls to the heart of those who are ready for a spiritual awakening. It is said that a Journey to Huaraz is a journey to find yourself. This custom, small group tour will focus on the inner power within each person as we spend time with local healers and shaman. Travel and share the journey with like-minded people who are on a personal and spiritual quest.

DAY 01: Huaraz – Mistical Turis.m

DAY 01: Huaraz – Mistical Turism
We arrival to Huaraz, transfer to the Hotel. Then we will go to Monument Wilcahuain for a small ceremony. Ceremonies means connecting one´s self to the mystical energy and ancestral identity of a nation and place. In the Andes, Mountains are venerated as master works of the Universal Creation. The Offerings to Nature are a ritual that definitely helps one feel the spirituality and connected with the place. It is a stimulus for our integration and adventure that renovates and purifies our being. Nacional Monument Wilcahuaín is a small Wari archaeological site that dates back to 600 to 900 AD. The small ruin is remarkably well preserved. It is an imitation of the temple at Chavín, in the Tiahuanaco style. Wilcahuaín means ‘grandson’s house’ in Quechua. The ruin was originally filled with mummies who were kept dry by using a sophisticated ventilation system. Return to the Hotel. Overnight.

DAY 02: Huaraz / Olleros – 3420m./ Sacracancha – 4000m.
After a good breakfast at the hotel we leave Huaraz at 8:00 am southbound 30 kms. / 30 min. in our private transport; first pass through the village of Olleros, and then arrive at Canrey Chico 3350m, where we will meet our support staff waiting for us with their donkeys to transport our camping equipment. From this point, we start the walk following the course of the Rio Negro enjoying the mountain scenery and the snowy white peaks as Shaqsha, Cashan, Rurec, Huatzan Chico, Uruashraju, Pucaraju and Yanamarey; then continue by Agocancha and Quiswar. Arrive early to the appointed place Sacracancha camp at 4000 meters where we camp. About 5 hours walking.

DAY 03: Sacracancha/ Yanashallash Pass – 4700m./ Shoncopampa.
Today we pass the highest point on this route, for which we will have to leave very early to ascend 8:00 m. up to 4700 m Yanashayash pass (which is the highest point of the circuit) you will have a magnificent view of a portion of the Cordillera Blanca, east to west, where we can see the snowy Huantsan 6395 m., 5700 m. and Uruashraju Rurec 5722 m. This pass is the dividing line to take us to Callejon de Conchucos, from this place you can notice more clearly the pre-Inca trail, stone paved road, paved in some places to descending in the 2nd camp (Shongo) 4080 m. overnight. Approximately 6 hours of walking.

DAY 04: Shoncopampa 4080 m./ Chavin 3150 m.
Early in the morning after our breakfast we start our departure hiking down to the villages of Nunapata, chichucancha, then descend to the town of Chavin, upon our arrival, we will visit the ruins and visit the city near the ruins. The archaeological complex of Chavin consists of tunnels and temples where Lanzon stones such as Chavin, the Monolith and Wake, who have carved anthropomorphic forms are different. Then transfer to the Hotel el Chavin. We can take a short rest. Then we can experience a ceremony of the earth, “Pachamama tribute” and we have a mystical night. Overnight.

DAY 05: Chavin De Huantar – Huaraz – Lima.
In the morning we can visit the Chavin´s lookout point, then we prepared for return to Huaraz. At night, transfer to the bus station for Lima.
